Connecting the Bus Cable via Plug Connection

SIPAN 32, the bus connection to the PROFIBUS PA is made by a
mating connector.
Connecting the bus cable to the mating connector
Push the pressure screw, clamp cage, seal, shielding ring (with
S
seal) and coupling sleeve onto the field bus cable
Remove the insulation of the bus cable as shown in figure 4-11
S
Pull the insulating tube over the shield* or solder the shield with
S
insulated wire** (0.25 mm
* twist shield and pull through the insulated tubing
** twist shield, shorten and solder to wire
Pull a shrink--on sleeve over the cable, wires and shield in the
S
insulating tube or over the wire
Attention!
There must not be a conductive connection between the shield and the
connector housing!
Screw the cable ends and the shield (in the insulating tube) tight in
S
the pin insert
Pull the coupling sleeve up to the shrink--on sleeve and screw it tight
S
into the internal thread of the pin insert
Push the shielding ring with seal into the coupling sleeve
S
Push the seal, clamp cage and pressure screw up to the shielding
S
ring and tighten the pressure screw by hand
