Parameters
The parameters for the transformer are set and general settings can be
made if the software and hardware versions allow. A detailed overview
of the setup possibilities can be found in the Operating Instructions in
section 4.3.6.
Select Sets
One of four different sets can be chosen. The following variables can
be saved in a set: dimension (unit), current characteristic, temperature
compensation (on/off), range of the medium (0,1,2), reference
temperature, value of the constant characteristic temperature curve,
number of the characteristic temperature curve in use, 4 mA value, 12
mA value, 20 mA value, upper and lower limit of the measurement
value, hysteresis of limit 1, upper and lower temperature limit,
hysteresis of temperature limit.
With this function it is possible to switch rapidly between four different
parameterizations (methods) and to store these. The different sets are
created on the computer or the HART communicator independent of
the measuring equipment and can then be transferred to the
equipment.
Units
The units for conductivity and temperature can be selected.
Range
The measurement range is setup. With Xfer fnctn[1], it is possible to
switch between linear and bilinear measurement. The measurement
value is set with 4mA[1], which is output from analog output 1 with 4
mA; the same applies to 12mA[1] and 20mA[1].
Temp Comp, T Ref[1], T Char[1], TC value[1]
Temperature compensation is activated, and the reference temperature
and one characteristic temperature curve are selected. Under linear
conditions, only the TC value (temperature coefficient) is entered ( see
also section 4.3.6.3 Temperature Compensation in the Operating
Instructions).
Limits
The limits for monitoring measurement value 1 and temperature are
selected (upper limit, lower limit, and hysteresis).
Output

Options
The second analog output, when available, is setup.
General
The logbook, the version number with the measurement procedure,
order number, serial number, hardware version, software version. In
addition, the time and the codes can be changed here, and
temperature compensation data can be entered.
Diag/Service
The status of the device can be read and checked.
