DIN VDE 0165 of 2/91 must be observed when setting up electrical
installations in hazardous areas. Further hints for PROFIBUS
installation can be found in the PNO Guide (see chapter 6.4 "Literature
and catalogs" /1/).
Attention!
The bus cable in the SIPAN 32 PROFIBUS PA device is connected
exclusively via the terminals 5 and 6. Other terminals (except for the
sensor connections: conductivity 10--17, pH 10--19, O
be wired because this can lead to damage to the device, interference
with other devices connected via the bus and violation of the Ex--re-
gulations.
Assembling the bus cable
Strip the bus cable as shown in figure 4-11.
S
Open the housing of the SIPAN 32 PROFIBUS PA device by
S
loosening the four cover screws.
Push the prepared bus cable through the PG threaded gland.
S
Fix the cable shield to the bracket plate with the clip and the two
S
screws.
Screw the PG threaded gland tight.
S
connect the red and green wires as shown in figure 4-12 to
S
terminals 5 and 6 of the motherboard (the polarity makes no
difference).
Caution!
Only certified bus cables may be used (see section 4.8.13 "Ordering
Data").
The maximum permissible cable length may not be exceeded.
