Frequently asked questions

1. No video image displayed in IE browser.
Possible reason: ActiveX not installed.
Solution: ActiveX must be installed when viewing the Network High Speed Dome for the first time via Internet Explorer.
How to install: view the IP camera; the file download dialogue will pop up automatically. Select Run or Save to download. After the
download finishes, an installation interface will pop up. Click install; ActiveX installation will start automatically, then the "Finish"
dialogue box will pop up to confirm completion of the installation process.
2. Unable to view Network High Speed Dome via IE after upgrade.
Solution: Delete the Browser cache:
Open IEclick Toolsselect "Internet Options"click delete files button in "Temporary Internet files" select "Delete all offline
contents"click OK and log in to the Network High Speed Dome again.
3. The images do not stream.
Possible reason 1: The frame rate for the Network High Speed Dome is too low.
Solution: Increase the video frame rate.
Possible reason 2: Too many users are viewing the images.
Solution: Block some clients or reduce the video frame rate.
Possible reason 3: The bandwidth is low.
Solution: Reduce the video frame rate or video compression bit rate.
4. Unable to view Network High Speed Dome via IE browser.
Possible Reason 1: Network is disconnected.
Solution: Connect your PC to the network, checking whether it works properly or not. Check whether there is a cable failure or
network failure caused by a PC virus, until the PC can be connected with a Ping command.
Possible reason 2: The IP Address has been occupied by other devices.
Solution: Stop the connection between the Network High Speed Dome and the Network, hook up the Network High Speed Dome
to the PC separately and reset the IP address according to the proper recommended procedure.
Possible reason 3: The IP addresses are in different subnets.
Solution: Check the IP address and subnet masking address of the DVS and the Gateway settings.
Possible reason 4: Physical network address conflict with Network High Speed Dome.
Solution: Change the physical address of the Network High Speed Dome.
Possible Reason 5: The web port has been modified.
Solution: Contact the Network Administrator to obtain the relevant information.
5. The image colour is abnormal (green or other colours).
Sometimes Network High Speed Dome images cannot display properly due to the difference between Graphics Cards; the images
appear to be green or other colours. In this case you should run the program Config.exe (or run C:\windows/system32\Config.exe)
to set the following display buffer parameters: auto-detection, used display card memory or system memory. Next, reopen IE and
connect to the Network High Speed Dome.
6. There is no sound while monitoring.
Possible Reason 1: No audio input connection.
Solution: Check host audio connection.
Possible Reason 2: The Network High Speed Dome audio option is off.
Solution: Check audio parameter settings to see if you have enabled the audio.
7. NVS software search cannot find device.
Possible reason: NVS software search adopts multicast protocol. But the firewall blocks multicast data packets.
Solution: Disable the firewall.
