Intended Use

3.1

Intended Purpose

Aortic punches are used to create circular incisions in vessels or tissue.
The instruments may be used only according to their intended use in the medical specialties by adequately
trained and qualified personnel. The user, e.g. the attending physician, is responsible for selection of the
instruments for specific applications and operative use, adequate training and information and adequate
experience for handling the instruments.

Indications

Surgically-operative treatment of illnesses and diseases.
Due to the intended use of the products, all surgical interventions and regions on the human body are
indicated.
3.1.2

Patient Group/Patient Selection

No specific patient group is intended as a target group.
3.1.3

Ambient conditions

The products may be used only in the operating theater under surgical conditions.
3.1.4

Users

Professional users: The instruments may be used only by surgical specialists. Reprocessing must be
performed by accordingly trained and qualified personnel of the central sterilization department.

Contraindications

There are no known contraindications that are related to safe use of the product.
