3 Intended Use

Intended Use
The headlight is designed to illuminate a surgical area or examination field.
It must not come into contact with the patient. Any other usage counts as misuse.
3.2

Indications

The MedLED® headlight is indicated to increase visibility only and is not intended to come into contact with
the patient.
3.3

Contraindications

The MedLED® headlight system is contraindicated for use in neonatal transillumination, ophthalmic
procedures, photosensitive patients or patients who have received photosensitizing agents.

Patient Target Groups

No direct patient contact.

Users

Professional users:
The products are to be used exclusively by medical specialists.
Cleaning and disinfection must be performed by trained specialists.

Ambient Conditions During Application

The application is carried out in the intended areas.
Where applicable, the specific parameters for ambient conditions during the application (temperature
range and air humidity) as stated on the product label must be observed.
