. Start the engine by turning the starter
switch (or by pulling on the manual
starter until
engagement, then pull
briskly).
NOTE:.
If the engine faills to start, release the starter
switch, then again turn the starter switch.
Pause a few seconds before the next attempt.
Each cranking should be as short as possible
to preserve battery energy. Do not crank the
engine more than 10 seconds on each at-
tempt. If the engine does not start with the
starter motor, use the manual starter to start
the engine.
5. After starting the engine push the starter
jet lever back half-way.
N OTE:
To get maximum engine life, always "warm
up" the engine before starting off. Never ac-
celerate hard with a cold engine!

ensuite tirer s~ chement).
N.B.:
D~marre pas, rel~cher le commutateur du
d6marreur, (et r~p&er l'op~ration). Attendre
quelques secondes avant la tentative suivante.
Chaque essai de d6marrage doit &re aussi
court que possible afin d'6conomiser l'6ner~e
de la batterie. Na pas actionner le d6marreur
pendant plus de l0 secondes ~ chaque ten-
tative. Si le moteur ne d6marre pas avec le
d6marreur, utiliser le manuel.
5. Apr~s avoir d6marr6 le moteur, repusser
moiti6 la manette du gicleur de starter.
N.B.:
Pour obtenir la dur~e de vie maximum du
moteur, toujous "re chauffer" le moteur froid!
