8 – Operation
Switching on and off
Insert the power plug into a suitable
socket.
The LED operating light (4) lights up
(Fig. 7) and indicates contact with
the power supply. It goes off when
the plug is detached.
CAUTION! Always switch the
machine on before making
contact with material.
Switching on
Press the On/Off switch (6) careful-
ly, the machine starts, the rotation
speed varies according to the pres-
sure exerted on the switch.
Switching off
Release the on/off switch (6) and
wait for the machine to come to a
complete stop.
Switching on continuous operation
Press and hold the on/off switch (6).
Press the locking button (3) (Fig. 5).
Release the on/off switch (6) – the
device will run at the set speed.
Switching off continuous opera-
tion
Press the on/off switch (6) to unlock
the locking button (3). Release the
on/off switch (6) and wait for the
machine to come to a complete
stop.

Drilling into wood and metal
To drill in wood and metal, the
hammer drill function must be acti-
vated. Set the toggle switch (1) to
'Drill' mode

with the setting wheel on the on/off
switch (6).
Start with a low speed. Depending
on the material characteristics and
diameter of the drill, switch on the

Hammer drilling in cement and
masonry
Set the toggle switch (1) to 'Impact
drill' mode , set the selector
switch (7) to 'right'. Start with a low
speed. Depending on the material
characteristics and diameter of the
drill, switch on the 1st/2nd gear
toggle switch (8) while the tool is at
a standstill (Fig. 8). This will change
the stroke rate and speed.
To remove a stuck drill, wait
until the machine has come to
a standstill, and switch to
anti-clockwise rotation. With the drill
running anti-clockwise, carefully pull
it out of the drilled hole.
