• To avoid hazards, damaged power
leads must be replaced by the

representative.
7 – Installation and setting
Inserting tools (Fig. 3)
ATTENTION! Switch off the
machine, turn the speed control
to the lowest setting and pull out the
power plug!
Press and hold down spindle lock (5),
screw off the tensioning screw of the
tool holder (2). Insert a collet chuck (8)
which fits the tool into the tool holder,
position the tensioning screw and turn it
loosely into position. Insert the tool (c)
and tighten the tensioning screw with
the universal wrench.
ATTENTION! Ensure that the grip
guard (4) is always in position
when working!
8 – Operation
Start-up Operation
CAUTION! The appliance may be
operated only in a dry, well-lit
environment.
To prevent the tool from starting
accidentally, ensure that the ON/OFF
switch is in the OFF (position O) and the
speed-control knob (6) is set to the
lowest setting (stop "–") before
connecting the power plug to a socket.
ATTENTION! Before switching
on, ensure that the tool is
firmly and securely inserted into the
40
machine.

Switching on
Switch the ON/OFF switch (1) to ON
(position I) (Fig. 1). The machine starts
at the low speed previously set.
Switching off
Switch the On/Off switch (1) to Off
(position O) and turn the speed-control
knob (6) back to stop "–". During intervals
in work, always disconnect the power
plug!
Speed-control (Fig. 1)
The machine has an electronic speed-
control feature (6). This makes it possible
to vary the speed continuously within
certain fixed limits depending on the
material being worked and the tool
inserted in the machine (appendix):
Stop "–": minimum speed,
approx. 8 000 1/min
Stop "+": maximum speed,
approx. 33 000 1/min
ATTENTION! Determine the
speed favourable for the
particular work concerned by testing!
9 – Mode of operation
Exert only moderate pressure on the
workpiece to ensure that the speed
remains constant. Excessive pressure
does not accelerate the work but only
causes the machine to slow down or stall
thereby overloading the motor. Fix small
workpieces in position with a clamp.
Dust
Dust created during work may be
inflammable, explosive or harmful to
