and can be used to compare one
power tool with another.
• The specified overall vibration
value and noise emission value
can also be used to carry out a
preliminary exposure assessment.
Warning:
• The vibrations and noise emis-
sions generated when the power
tool is actually being used may
deviate from the specified values,
depending on the way in which
the power tool is used, and specif-
ically, on the basis of the type of
workpiece being machined.
• It is necessary to specify safety
measures for the protection of the
user which are based on the vibra-
tion load incurred under conditions
of real use (in doing so, all ele-
ments of the operating cycle are
to be considered, such as periods
when the power tool is switched
off, and those when which it is
switched on, but operating without
load).
• Is the power tool used correctly?
• Is the correct type of material pro-
cessed?
• Is the power tool in proper work-
ing order?
• Are the handles or optional vibra-
tion handles mounted and fixed
securely against the body of the
power tool?
If you sense an unpleasant feeling
or your skin changes colour when
you are using the power tool, stop
working immediately and take a

break. Take sufficient breaks. If you
do not take sufficient breaks, this
may cause a hand-arm vibration
syndrome.
Try to keep the vibration loads as
low as possible. Examples of meas-
ures that may be taken to reduce the
vibration load include wearing gloves
when using the tool and limiting the
length of the working period. All
parts of the operating cycle must be
taken into account for this purpose
(for example, also including times in
which the power tool is switched off
and times in which it is switched on,
but is running without load).
Service this power tool in accord-
ance with the information in the
operating instructions.
If the power tool is to be used fre-
quently, contact your dealer and
procure anti-vibration equipment
(handles) if necessary.
Avoid using the power tool at ambi-
ent temperatures of t = 10 °C or
lower. Draw up a work schedule that
can be used to minimise vibration
load.
Information about minimising
noise
A certain amount of noise is una-
voidable when using this power tool.
Ensure you carry out noise-inten-
sive work during permitted times.
Maintain the quiet periods and limit
your work to the absolute mini-
mum. For the sake of your personal
protection and that of the persons
around, suitable ear protection
should be worn.
