Mounting
Having completed demounting, only the rim will be left
clamped onto the Wheel Holder Flange.
Proceed as follows:
WARNING:
CHECK THAT THE DIAMETER OF THE TIRE BEING
MOUNTED IS CORRECT.
Lower bead mounting procedure
• Select the Automatic Mounting function key (5, Fig.
4.1-1).
Note: If a tire mounting operation is performed
after a rim clamping operation (new rim or
rim removed after demounting) the fi rst thing
the machine does is to scan the rim fl ange
(Laser Scan Fig.5.2-8).
• Activate the Lever to position the lower mounting
tool in the start up position.
The machine stops automatically (and beeps) to allow
the rim to be lubricated and the tire to be positioned.
WARNING:
DO NOT ACTIVATE THE LEVER BEFORE YOU HAVE
COMPLETED THE BEAD INSERTION OPERATION
USING THE PEDAL.
• Activate the rotation command pedal and lubricate
the rim (Fig.5.2-9).
Note: In this situation rotation can be activated
using the pedal command so the operator
can lubricate the rim.
•
Place the new tire on the rim, and hook the bead
onto the tool as shown (Fig.5.2-10).
•
Using ONLY the rotation command PEDAL fi nish
inserting the lower bead into the upper part of the
rim.
