• For round sling suspension gear, the round slings are
covered with an additional suspension gear protection
sleeve over the sheathing to hold the strands together.
• The colours of the round slings correspond to
the working load limits according to EN 1492-2:
– 1t – violet
– 2t – green
– 3t – yellow
– 4t – grey
– 5t – red
– 6t – brown
– 8t – blue
– ≥10t – orange
Note:
The protective sheath material used for
the round slings is dyed. Direct contact
can lead to staining or colour imprints on
surfaces (e. g. plastics, painted surfaces,
etc.). This can be avoided by using suitable
intermediate layers.
The round sling sheath is sewn together
with a seam, where the working load limit
label is also sewn in. The seam therefore
has no load-bearing function.

Table 1 shows the working load limits of
the different rigging methods. The suitability
of the rigging method must be checked in
every case.
The safe working load (SWL) of a round
sling corresponds to the working load limit
with the „single direct" rigging method with
an angle of inclination ß of 0°.
