1.5 MANUFACTURER'S LIABILITY

The Manufacturer declines all liability in the event of:
use of the motor in contravention of applicable safety and accident prevention laws and
regulations
disregard of the instructions provided in this manual
modification or tampering of the unit
damage caused by work done to the motor by unqualified or unsuitable persons.
The safety of the electric motor is dependent on the scrupulous application of the instructions given in
this manual. In particular:
always operate the motor within its operating limits
observe the routine maintenance schedule
only authorise trained operators to inspect and service the unit
use only original spare parts.
Operate the motor in accordance with the instructions given in this manual.
The instructions given in this manual do not substitute but summarise the provisions of
current law.

The following instructions apply to the following BONFIGLIOLI RIDUTTORI motor series:
BN_ (rated 2D ); frame sizes BN63 to BN100
M_ (rated 2D ); frame sizes M05 to M3
intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.

2.2 DESCRIPTION OF THE ELECTRIC MOTOR

The electric motors described in this manual are manufactured in compliance with harmonised EN
standards in the following constructions:
Group II equipment, category 2D, maximum surface temperature 125 °C
tD dust explosion protection by enclusure according to practice A, for use in zone 21
in the presence of combustible dust according to EN 61241-0 and EN 61241-1
