Kreatech™ FISH probes
FGFR1 (8p11) / SE 8 (D8Z1) – XL for BOND
Catalog No: KBI-XL004
Intended Use
For in vitro diagnostic use
FGFR1 (8p11) / SE 8 (D8Z1) – XL for BOND is intended for use on non-
small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded
(FFPE) tissue sections. The probes are to be used in combination with
the BOND FISH Kit (DS9636) on an automated BOND system (includes
BOND-MAX system and BOND-III.
The FGFR1 (8p11) / SE 8 (D8Z1) – XL for BOND FISH probe detects
genomic amplifications involving the FGFR1 gene in FFPE tissues. The
probe has been validated on NSCLC tissues.
The clinical interpretation of any staining or its absence should be
complemented by morphological studies and proper controls and
should be evaluated within the context of the patient's clinical history
and other diagnostic tests by a qualified pathologist.
Summary and Explanation
Kreatech FISH probes are used to perform a fluorescence in situ hy-
bridization (FISH) staining procedure on formalin-fixed, paraffin-em-
bedded tissues. Following appropriate pretreatment, hybridization of
Kreatech FISH probes and post-hybridization stringent washing using
the BOND FISH kit, tissue sections are to be manually dehydrated
and mounted with DAPI. Results are interpreted by fluorescence
microscopy using the recommended filters with the appropriate
wavelengths.
