Signal patterns
FGFR1 (8p11) / SE 8 (D8Z1) – XL for BOND can be used to detect
amplifications involving the FGFR1 gene in FFPE tissues. The probe
has been validated on NSCLC tissues using the protocols shown in
table 2.
FGFR1 (8p11) / SE 8 (D8Z1) – XL for BOND is designed as a dual-color
assay to detect amplifications of the FGFR1 gene region at 8p11. The
normal signal pattern shows two red and two green signals (2R2G),
while a amplification involving the FGFR1 gene results in multiple red
signals and two green signals.
Follow-up testing is advised if other, atypical patterns are observed.

Disclaimer: The performance of FGFR1 (8p11) / SE 8 (D8Z1) – XL for
BOND has been established using the procedures described in this
package insert. Modifications to these procedures may alter the per-
formance of the assay. Any deviations from the instructed protocols
must be validated by the user.
Storage and Stability
Protect probes from strong and direct light.
Store at 2 - 8 °C. The unopened product is stable under these condi-
tions up to the expiry date indicated on the vial label.
Return undiluted reagent to 2 - 8 °C immediately after use. Diluted/
mixed probe reagent stored in a BOND container should be returned
to 2 - 8 °C after being run.
After probe dilution, probes mixtures are stable for up to 30 days. Af-
ter this time period the diluted mixture may result in suboptimal results.
