Type
Contra-angle and reduction contra-
angle handpiece without light, with
push button, with external irriga-
tion. This contra-angle can be used
in endodontics with nickel-titanium
NiTi alloy tools.

Intended use

CA 1:1, use in dentistry for implan-
tology, maxillo-facial surgery, gen-
eral dentistry, prophylaxis and en-
dodontics work.
CA 30:1, use in dentistry for implan-
tology, maxillo-facial surgery and
endodontic work.

Assembly
Important
The device must not be started with-
out a tool inserted into the gripping.
Never mount an instrument on a ro-
tating motor.
To ensure your CA micromotor is op-
erating correctly, we recommend a
cooling air flow of 7 to 9 standard
litres/min.

Diameter of shaft 2,35 mm type 1, in
accordance with ISO 1797, max.
length CA 1:1, 26 mm code 4-5 and
CA 30:1, 34 mm code 4-6, in accor-
dance with ISO 6360/1. In endodon-
tics and implantology, longer instru-
ments can be used under the practi-
tioner's responsibility.
Changing the bur
Push-button grip:
Press the push-button fig. 2 and, at
the same time, withdraw the bur.
To fit a new bur, press the pushbut-
ton and insert the bur firmly home
fig. 7.
If the Kirschner/Meyer irrigation sys-
tem is used, it is recommanded to
leave the cooling tube in place to
change the bur fig. 2.
Exert traction on the tool to check
that it is correctly in place.

Maintenance

Important
• The instrument is delivered
"non sterile".
• Before using for the first time and
within a maximum of 30 min-
utes after each treatment, clean,
disinfect and lubricate the instru-
ment, then sterilise. Observing
this procedure eliminates any
blood, saliva or saline solution
residues and prevents the trans-
mission system from being
blocked.
• Only instruments bearing a pic-
togram
can be placed in the
washer/disinfectant unit.
• Do not immerse in an ultra-
sonic bath.
• Only use original Bien-Air Dental
maintenance products and parts
or those recommended by Bien-
Air Dental. Using other products
or parts may cause operational
failure and/or void the guarantee.
