Description
Electronic control for all dental mi-
cromotors, with or without light.
Eac electronic system allows a choice
of continuous power or control cou-
pled to the type of motor used. Black
anodizeluminium case of reduced
volume, with identification plate
and connection diagram.
PLPE 970 & PLPE 970 FO:
powered pneumatically.
Installation
The lightweight casing may be se-
cured mechanically or, owing to its
light weight, with Velcro
®
adhesive
tape. Gluing is not recommended, as
the casing can reach temperatures of
up to 80°. The power transistor on
the opposite side of the connector
must not come into direct contact
with any object. To ensure good heat
dissipation the case must be mount-
ed in a ventilated location, especially
when using MC3 and MC2 GT mo-
tors. Install a fuse between the trans-
former and the electronics.
Fuse value: 6.3 A
Note!
In order to conform to the CEI
60601-1-2 standards, take into ac-
count the different routes of the wires
through the unit (bend, fold, section
etc...) and use a transformer with
double insulation and separate coils.
This device must be installed with
the greatest care, with all the neces-
sary insulation and by a person with
the necessary, adequate knowledge
of electricity.
Connecting the motor PCB
The connector is plugged onto the
plate; the external connections hous-
ing are made by means of 10 tight-
ened terminals.
The transformer leads are connected
to positions 3 and 4, the potentiome-
ter to positions 5 to 7 of the connec-
tor. If you do not use the potentio-
meter, fit a bridge across terminals
5 and 6 of connector.
Light PCB connection
The female connector is joined to
the male connector of the circuit
board. The external connections are
established via to screw-type termi-
nals. Connect the blue and brown
leads of your pipeline to the ferrite
element (option) to conform with
standard CEI 60601-1-2 and EN
60601-1-2.
Note on details
PLPE 970 & PLPE 970 FO:
It is necessary to have 300 kPa
(3 bar) at the pressure sensor» to
obtain 24 Vdc. To ensure pneumat-
ic/electric synchronisation, the air
reaching the pressure sensor» has to
be able to exhaust rapidly (by cool-
ing the motor).
Intended use
Product intended for professional
use only. Use in dentistry for prophy-
laxis, general dentistry and en-
dodontic work.
