7. Maintenance & Storage
•
Clean the oil suction ilter regularly
(located opposite the oil inlet connection).
•
Make sure the oil is clean. Contaminants will
cause severe wear, and ultimately failure, of
the pump.
•
Make sure the air supply is clean and dry.
An uniltered air supply can cause the air motor
to stall or stop.
•
SKF recommends the use of
SKF Mounting Fluid LHMF 300 and
SKF Dismounting Fluid LHDF 900.
•
The maximum storage time depends on the
storage conditions. Recommended storage
conditions are at room temperature with dry
surrounding air.
•
To prepare for storage, add a few drops of air
motor oil to the air inlet of the pump.
Connect to the air supply and run the THAP...E
slowly for a few strokes. The air used should
have a water vapour pressure dew point that is
at least 10 ºC below the ambient temperature
where the pump is to be stored.
