3. 1 2. 1 Initial settings
To achieve optimal heating results, before switching off the ignition, some initial settings are to be made on
the heating or air conditioning control.
Cars with IHR or IHKR only
The illustration shows the control unit for the IHKR, proceed accordingly on cars with IHR.

Initial settings for auxiliary heating mode
• Set the temperature control (96) to max. heat.
• Set the air distribution control (97) to defrost.
• Set the air supply control (95) to level 2.
Initial settings for auxiliary ventilation mode
• Set the temperature control (96) to max. cold.
• Set the air distribution control (97) to defrost.
• Set the air supply control (95) to level 2.

• Adjust the air flow so that four of the possible display segments light up in the display (100).
• Set the temperature (99) to max. (32°C).

• Adjust the air flow so that four of the possible display segments light up in the display (100).
• Set the temperature (99) to min. (16°C).
