7. Inserting / replacing batteries

1. Open the battery compartment on the back.
2. Correctly insert two AAA batteries, heeding the polarity markings
inside the battery compartment.
3. Close the battery compartment again.
Replace the batteries, if the error code ERR06 appears
in the display or once all bars of the battery status
display (3) have turned off.

8. Turning the device on/off

1. Press the ON/DIST button (C) to turn on the device. The following
contents appear in the display:
2. Press the ON/DIST button again, in order to activate the target
laser (B). The laser indicator (9) and the signal strength indicator (1)
appear in the display.
