Stopping the motorcycle
If you let go of the throttle twistgrip, the motorcycle will
slow down gradually and smoothly. Then, shift down
releasing the clutch, and finally change from first to
neutral. Apply brakes and you will bring the motorcycle to
a complete stop. To switch the engine off, simply turn the
key to OFF (fig. 51).
Important
Never leave the key in the ON position when engine
is stopped, or this will damage the electric components.
Parking
Stop the motorcycle, then put it on the centre stand to
park it (see page 44).
Turn the handlebar fully left and turn the key to the LOCK
position (fig. 52).
To avoid theft, use the supplied padlock (see page 42).
If you park in a garage or other facilities, make sure that
there is proper ventilation and that the motorcycle is not
near a source of heat.
You may leave the parking lights on by turning the key to
position P.
