Operation in winter
The use of "winter diesel" is mandatory when operating the device at ambient tem-
peratures of -3° to -10° Celsius. Please contact your petrol station to find out when
"winter diesel" is used.
• Make special preparations for winter use.
• If you operate the diesel generator regularly, you do not need to take any precau-
tions, as the changeover to "winter diesel" takes place automatically.
• If you do not use the generator for a long time in autumn, but want to use it again in
winter, it is recommended to keep the tank almost empty or to treat it as described
under "Drain tank".
• Fill the tank with winter diesel before outside temperatures drop to -3° to -10° Celsi-
us.
• If the diesel fuel becomes "sullied", you must take the device to a room with tempera-
tures of approx. +10°C for approx. 12 hours.
If the tank is half to full with normal diesel fuel, it must be handled as described under
"Drain tank", p.29. The tank must then be filled with "winter diesel". If the tank is
almost empty to half full, filling up with "winter diesel" is sufficient.
• Fill the tank with "winter diesel".
