• Keep air slots and the casing free of dust and dirt. Blow out the device at low pressure
with compressed air.
• Never overload the device. Use the designated devices for your work. Work better
and safer in the indicated performance range.
Electrical safety
• The device generates enough electricity to cause fatal electric shocks if used improp-
erly or if live parts are touched.
• If you want to extend the connection cable, only use extension cables that are suita-
ble for outdoor use. This measure reduces the risk of electric shock.
• Do not use the power cord for any purpose other than carrying, hanging or unplug-
ging the device.
Keep the cable away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Do not pinch,
bend, squeeze or knot the cable under the device. Always unroll the cable com-
pletely. Never immerse the power cable in water or other liquids. Damaged, wet or
tangled cables increase the risk of electric shock.
• Only use the device when all connections are dry and safe. Penetration of water into
and onto the device increases the risk of electric shock.
• Avoid contact with earthed parts such as pipes, radiators, stoves and refrigeration
units. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is grounded.
• Only use electrical supply cables and connected devices that are in perfect condi-
tion. Only devices with a voltage rating that corresponds to the output voltage of the
device may be connected.
Never connect the device to the mains (socket).
The cable lengths to the consumer must be kept as short as possible.
Risk of fire, explosion and hot surfaces
• The device may generate sparks that can ignite dust, flammable liquids or vapors. The
device must not be used near flammable materials or explosive gases.
The exhaust system becomes hot and remains hot for some time after the engine has
stopped, fire-prone materials can be set on fire and explosive gases can explode. Do
not touch the hot silencer. Allow the device to cool down.
• Maintain a distance of at least three meters from buildings and other devices during
operation.
• Never place objects on top of the device or cover the device during operation.
• Check the fuel system regularly for leaks or defective parts.
