Ensure that the workplace is adequately lighted. Untidy and poorly lit workplaces
increase the risk of injury.
• For operation, place the device on a fireproof surface at ground level that can bear
the weight of the device. Always make sure that the device is standing firmly and
securely.
• Before working with the device, check that it is functioning properly. Do not use a
device whose switch is defective. Defective devices can endanger your safety and the
safety of others.
• Use the device, equipment and tools according to these instructions. Take into account
the working conditions and the job to be performed. Using the device for applications
other than those intended can lead to dangerous situations.
• Keep unused devices and their tools out of the reach of children. Do not allow persons
to use the device who are not familiar with the device or have not read the instruc-
tions. The device is dangerous if it is used by inexperienced persons. Children and
animals must keep a minimum distance of 10 m from the operating area.
• Observe the noise protection regulations when using the device in residential areas.
• Never use the device in rain or snow or in ambient temperatures below -10°C or
above 40°C.
• Do not overload the device. The load must be kept within the values indicated on the
device's rating plate.
For wearers of pacemakers: The ignition system of the device generates a low elec-
tromagnetic field. We cannot completely rule out an effect on individual pacemaker
types. Avoid health risks. EBERTH recommends to consult the treating doctor and the
manufacturer of the pacemaker.
• Avoid hearing injuries by wearing hearing protection. Wear non-slip protective shoes
for all work. Wear protective gloves for all work.
Always wear clothing that is functional and close-fitting, but not inconvenient. Always
wear clothing made of solid material when carrying out any work. Never wear rings,
watches, ties, or body jewelry while working. Bind long hair together and secure.

• Stop the engine and wait for the device to cool down before making adjustments,
servicing accessories or moving the device. This precaution prevents the unintentional
start of the device.
