Starting current
Please pay special attention to this chapter!
The device can only supply power within the performance limits of the device
Many electricity consumers, also called consumers, require higher or additional power. This
means that thenominal power of the consumer, which is indicated on the nameplate, does
not correspond to the actual power.
This is especially true for the starting current.
Electrical loads that start against a load or accelerate a large mass usually require a high
starting current. The starting current is often at a nominal current with 4 to 8 times the effect.
The device must be able to provide the power.
When connecting loads, please note that not only the load power is decisive, but also the
starting current.
When connecting loads, ensure that the nominal power and starting current of the load to-
gether do not exceed the power of the corresponding connection on the device. Non-com-
pliance will result in the destruction of the device.
If the starting current is too high, both the output frequency and the out-
put voltage drop to a value for a short time. Electronic consumers on the
device can be damaged. Never connect one or more sensitive loads with
excessive starting current!
As a general rule, the closer the starting current is to the total power of the device, the great-
er the effect of starting currents on the output voltage or output frequency.
All consumers that have an electric engine have a starting current.
If these consumers do not have a "soft start", the starting current is up to 2-3 times as high as
the power rating on the type plate from the consumer.
