Troubleshooting
Possible causes
The automatic oil shut-off is activated
Mechanical switch unlocked
No fuel
Ignition key is in wrong position
starter battery has too low charge level Charge or replace starting battery.
Cable connections are uncoupled
Diesel filter clogged
The oil nozzle is dirty.
Air filter clogged
Fuse defective
Diesel fuel "sulted" due to low outside
temperature
Regulator or condenser defective
The overvoltage circuit breaker has
been tripped.
The device's carbon brushes are worn
Solution
Check the oil level (do not screw in the
dipstick - wrong measurement result), top up
the engine oil
Push the mechanical switch to the right
Refill fuel. If the fuel level is too low, it may
collect in the fuel filter or in a possible sink.
Therefore fill up at least 3 litres of fresh fuel.
Open the fuel valve (this must point down-
wards) Pull the fuel hose off the solenoid
valve and check , whether fuel arrives runs
through the hose when the fuel valve is open.
To start with E-Start, the ignition key must be
moved to the Start- position.
Check all visible cable connections for
tightness.
Clean or replace spark plug
Clean the oil nozzle.
Clean or replace air filter
Replace defective fuse
Proceed as described under "Winter oper-
ation"
Contact customer service during warranty
Actuate switch, reduce load.
Check or replace carbon brushes, contact
service during warranty service
