Clean or replace fuel filter
The fuel filter must be cleaned if contamination is visible in the sight glass.
To clean the fuel filter, you will need a funnel connected to a petrol/diesel resistant
fuel hose, petrol/diesel resistant gloves and an empty diesel fuel canister.
Device damage threatens! Never mix petrol and diesel fuel in an uncontrolled
manner.
• Open the maintenance cover (5.),p.13.
• Close the fuel valve. See fig.12 next page
• Loosen the knurled nut, fig.22.
• Insert the hose connected to the funnel into the diesel canister.
• Hold the funnel under the sight glass, fig.22
• Loosen the knurled nut all the way.
• Empty the clean remaining amount of diesel from the sight glass into the funnel.
• Soak up the dirty amount of diesel with a cleaning paper.
• Clean the sight glass.
• Pull the fuel filter downwards from the fuel filter holder.
• Remove any debris from the fuel filter with the cleaning paper.
• If necessary, clean the sight glass with some diesel fuel.
• Replace the fuel filter if it is damaged.
• Discard the cleaning paper.
• The assembly is in reversed order.
