To avoid the risk of electric shock, the LifeStart must only be connected to a
supply mains with protective earth.
If at any stage (before, during or after use) the LifeStart is required to be
switched off, where applicable turn off the electricity supply at the wall switch
and unplug the power cable from the mains electricity supply.
Disconnect the power from the mains before cleaning the LifeStart.
Do not use the system in the presence of flammable anesthetic gases or
oxygen enriched atmospheres as these may pose an explosion hazard.
The user must avoid or minimize reciprocal interference posed by the
presence of the LifeStart during use.
The user must avoid or minimize electromagnetic, high frequency and other
interference between the LifeStart and any other devices.
Remove batteries when storing the product for a long period of time.

Care should be taken when attaching accessories to the Medirails to ensure
that the accessories do not obstruct the LifeStart parts when the height is
being adjusted, particularly when the device is in the lowest position.
Ensure the caster lock mechanisms are applied when adjusting the LifeStart
height or treating patients.
Ensure the LifeStart platform height is adjusted to the lowest position before
inserting gas cylinders into the Cylinder Holder.
Maximum cylinder size for medical air and oxygen is D (universal pin index
valve).
Ensure the mains power cable and gas hoses do not result in a trip hazard.
User should perform independent electrical safety testing upon receipt of the
LifeStart, prior to putting it into operation.

This device is marked with the WEEE symbol (crossed-out wheeled bin) to
indicate that it is electronic equipment covered by the Directive 2002/96/EC
on waste electrical and electronic equipment. This is a European directive but
applies worldwide. In European countries the WEEE symbol reminds you that
all electrical and electronic products must be taken to a separate collection at
the end of their working life. Do not dispose of this product in normal domestic
or commercial waste - contact your local authority for advice on disposal.
