Connect or activate the rice cooker only after inserting the extractable non-stick pan
(4) in the appliance body (1) slot.
Do not insert liquids in the appliance body (1) slot.
Liquids can be contained only in the extractable non-stick pan (4).
Lift and remove the glass lid carefully and far from your position
to prevent the steam leakage from causing burns. The lid
water must not drip in the main compartment, but only in the
extractable cooking pot.
> > At first use
Unpack the rice cooker carefully and remove all the packing materials and the pro-
motional tags.
Wash the extractable pan (4), the steaming bucket (5) and the lid (6) with hot water
and soap, accurately rinse and dry.
Clean the appliance body (1) slot with a damp cloth or with a sponge.
Never submerge the appliance body in water or in other liquids.
> > HOW TO COOK RICE
Rice is a rich source of complex carbohydrates and contains starch. Before cooking, to
wash rice in running water until its water becomes clear is advised. This way rice doesn't
darken and it doesn't stick on the bottom after cooking. However, after this procedure,
rice could lose some nutrients.
1. Place the appliance body (1) on a dry and flat surface.
2. Use the supplied measuring cup (7) to measure the
necessary rice quantity (see the cooking chart at page
77).
Always use the measuring cup and do not press rice.
