1.5. CONVENTIONS
The following symbol appears in these Instructions for Use and on the
Holder for Backup Pump Drive packaging and labelling .
CAUTION
WARNING indicates a hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, could result in death or serious injury .

1.6. GENERAL WARNINGS
This section contains general warnings statements regarding the use and
maintenance of the Holder for Backup Pump Drive . It is not a complete
summary and additional warning statements specific to pertinent topics
can be found within these Instructions for Use .
Note:
Refer to the console and patient kit Instructions for Use for
information regarding Warnings and Cautions .
Before attaching the backup pump drive to the Holder for
Backup Pump Drive, make sure that the Holder for Backup
Pump Drive is securely and firmly attached to the pole .
Otherwise, the Holder for Backup Pump Drive may fall and
will damage the backup pump drive or other components
located below the Holder for Backup Pump Drive .
CAUTION
Ensure that the backup pump drive is completely seated
on the Holder for Backup Pump Drive (pin with radial
groove) and secured with the clamping screw . Otherwise,
the backup pump drive may fall and damage components
located below the backup pump drive .
Position the Holder for Backup Pump Drive with the backup
pump drive in a way that the components used for treatment
(oxygenator and pump drive/pump head) are not affected .
