lows of the sound frequency spectrum
will be boosted.
SIMULATE/WIDE:
Lights green for SIMULATE, and red for
WIDE, together with either MUSIC or
THEATER.
In the WIDE
setting, the
stereo-wide effect will be added to the
stereo sound, while in the SIMULATE
setting the monaural
sound will be
heard as a simulated stereo sound.

Adjusts the level of the audio output from the PHONES jack

Turn for softer or sharper playback picture.
@ Hi-Fi AUDIO REC BALANCE control
Adjusts the Hi-Fi audio L and R channels relative to each
other. Turn counterclockwise to boost the left-channel
recording
level; clockwise
to boost the right-channel
recording level.
@® Hi-Fi AUDIO REC LEVEL control
Adjusts the Hi-Fi audio recording level. (See page 22.)
@ STEREO indicator
Lights when a stereo program is being received.
@ SAP indicator
Lights when a TV program accompanied by a second audio
program (SAP) is being received.

Lights when "2ND AUDIO" on the VCR SETUP menu is set

RCU CODE switch
Set to A or B according to the setting of the remote
control's code (A or B). When this switch is set to OFF, no
remote control operation is available. Use the OFF position
when you want to avoid accidental or unwanted operation
from the remote control.

EDIT switch
Normally set to OFF. For making multi-generation dubs, set
it to the ON position. (See page 42.)
