Lights together with SIMULATE/WIDE
when the SOUND MENU button is set
to
the
Stereo
Wide
Theater
or
Simulated Stereo Theater mode. The
lows of the sound frequency spectrum
will be boosted.
SIMULATE/WIDE:
Lights green for SIMULATE, and red for
WIDE, together with either MUSIC or
THEATER.
In the WIDE
setting, the
stereo-wide effect will be added to the
stereo sound, while in the SIMULATE
setting the monaural
sound will be
heard as a simulated stereo sound.

@ When editing from a JVC VideoMovie equipped with the
Master Edit Control system, connect the remote control
cable of the VideoMovie to this terminal to enable control
of the tape with the VideoMovie's controls.

editing to a JVC video deck equipped with a
PAUSE
OUT terminal, connect that terminal to this
terminal to enable synchronized preroll editing.
@ MIC jack
Connect a microphone for audio dubbing.
@ PHONES jack
Connect a set of headphones for monitoring or private
listening.
@ PHONES LEVEL control
Adjusts the level of the audio output from the PHONES jack
and AUDIO OUT 2 connectors.
@ PICTURE SHARPNESS control
Turn for softer or sharper playback picture.
@ Hi-Fi AUDIO REC BALANCE control
Adjusts the Hi-Fi audio L and R channels relative to each
other. Turn counterclockwise to boost the left-channel
recording
level; clockwise
to boost the right-channel
recording level.
@® Hi-Fi AUDIO REC LEVEL control
Adjusts the Hi-Fi audio recording level. (See page 22.)
@ STEREO indicator
Lights when a stereo program is being received.
@ SAP indicator
Lights when a TV program accompanied by a second audio
program (SAP) is being received.
@® SAP REC indicator
Lights when "2ND AUDIO" on the VCR SETUP menu is set
to "ON".
@® DIGITAL AV TRACKING indicator
Lights in the Digital AV Tracking
mode.
Blinks while

@ AC ONLINE switch
OFF:
Power flows through the rear panel AC OUTLET @
regardless of whether the recorder is on or off.
ON:
Power flows only when the recorder is on. When
used in combination
with the built-in timer, this
enables
timer-controlled
power supply for the
connected equipment.
@
RCU CODE switch
Set to A or B according to the setting of the remote
control's code (A or B). When this switch is set to OFF, no
remote control operation is available. Use the OFF position
when you want to avoid accidental or unwanted operation
from the remote control.
@
EDIT switch
Normally set to OFF. For making multi-generation dubs, set
it to the ON position. (See page 42.)
