RELATED TO PLAYBACK
TV MONITOR
When
viewing a video tape, you can
check the TV program being received by
the VCR's built-in tuner without stopping
the tape.
e Press the TV
MONITOR
button
to
check
TV
programs
during
tape
playback.
The tuned-in TV program
will be visible on the screen until the
TV
MONITOR
button
is pressed
again.
e If you press the TV MONITOR button
after engaging a visual search mode,
such as Skip Search, the TV screen
will switch to TV, and normal tape
'GOm
playback will automatically resume

SKIP SEARCH
During
playback,
press
the
SKIP
SEARCH button from 1 to 4 times to zip
through 30-sec. to 2-min. sections of
tape. Playback resumes automatically.
Press the PLAY button to cancel the
Skip Search mode midway.
MEMORY
PLAY
If you want to watch the tape from its
beginning after rewinding, you do not
have to wait for completion of rewind to
press the PLAY button.
e Press the REW button and then PLAY
button within 2 seconds.

Index Search and Realtime Go-To in
the visual
search
mode
(refer to
pages 32 and 33) can be carried out
while
you
are
watching
the
TV
program.

REPEAT PLAYBACK — FULL OR SEGMENT
Note:

start
automatically
at
the
beginning of the tape.
While the tape is being rewound, the
PLAY indicator is blinking. To cancel
the Memory
Play mode
and go to
another
mode,
press
the
corre-
sponding button (STOP, PLAY, FF, -
REW).
More Next-Function Memory
Features
if you are going to eject the cassette, or
turn the power off after rewinding the
tape, press the EJECT
or POWER
button within 2 seconds after pressing
the REW button.
@ For various tape access methods that can be used in different applications,
refer to pages 40 and 41.
This function allows you to set the VCR for repeated playback (5 times) of the entire tape ("FULL" repeat) or repeated playback (5
times) of a segment of the tape from one index mark to the next ("SEGMENT" repeat).
End of tape
1. Open the VCR SET UP menu.

2. If "SEGMENT" is selected, you can designate the segment
using the Index Search mode or Index Mark function.

@ During rewind in the Repeat mode, "REPEAT" is displayed on
the screen.
© Afier repeat playback, be sure to reset "REPEAT" to "NO".
