Using a 2nd video deck as the
source player
e Connect the player's VIDEO OUT (or
S-VIDEO OUT) and AUDIO OUT to the
recorder's VIDEO IN (or S-VIDEO IN)
and AUDIO IN.
Engage the recorder in the AUX mode
("AU" in the channel display) and set
the AUX (S/AV) button depending on
the
connection.

The HR-S5800U's
REMOTE
PAUSE
terminal is designed to accept a preroll
command when used with a video deck
which is preroll-capable and equipped
with a Pause Control! Output terminal,
such as JVC's HR-S10000U. This com-
bination makes possible synchronized
preroll editing for high-quality editing
results. In addition, with this connec-
tion, connecting to the HR-S10000U's
SWAP
terminal to the HR-S5800U's
SWAP terminal, enables most functions
of the HR-S5800U to be operated from
the HR-S10000U's controls.
Note:
@ If you do not want the On-Screen
mode indications to be recorded on
the dubbed tape, set "ON SCREEN"
on the VCR SET UP menu to "OFF".
