@ Set to "TV" if your antenna system is regular broadcast
VHF/UHF, VHF only, or UHF only.
@ Set to "CATV" if your antenna system is a cable TV line with
or without a CATV channel converter/decoder unit.
AFC
@ Normally set to "NORM".
e@ Reset to "SPCL" if no picture appears.
AUTO CHANNEL SET
@ Select this item when you wish all available channels to be
stored automatically. We recommend that you use this
mode for initial tuner setting.
MANUAL CHANNEL SET
@ Select this item when you wish to store only your favorite
channels, to restore skipped channels, or skip previously
stored channels.
Operation tips:
e@ When the AUTO CHANNEL SET menu
is opened, scanning will start auto-
matically from the lowest channel in
the specified band
(TV or CATV).
During
scanning,
the
message
"SCANNING..."
will be displayed.
Available channels will be stored with
"ADD"
displayed
briefly
(super-
imposed over the TV picture), and
unavailable channels will be skipped
with "SKIP" displayed.
After completion
of scanning,
the
number of the lowest stored channel
is displayed.
For information on correspondence
between channel numbers and CATV
stations refer to the inserted "CATV
Channel Reference Chart".

ATTENTION
You
can
use
the
Jog/Shuttle
controls
instead
of the
numeric
keys and SET/SELECT
buttons.
After pressing the MENU buiton, all
setting operations can be done with
the Jog/Shuttle controls: JOG dial
for setting data (SET) and SHUTTLE
ring
for
verifying
entry
and
advancing
to the
next
position
(SELECT).
(When
you
use
the
Jog/Shuttle controls on the remote
control
unit,
press
the
CH/
SET*SELECT button after pressing
the MENU button.)
