WHAT'S ON THE MENU?
In addition to timer programming, most setup procedures are
simplified with the on-screen menu system. Available menus
are:
1. TODAY'S PROGRAM — to program the timer to record TV
programs which start within 24 hours.
PROGRAM — to program the timer to record TV programs
which start at any time after 24 hours and within one month.
. CLOCK SET — to initially set the clock, or readjust it.
. VCR SET UP — to make basic recorder settings.
. TUNER SET UP — to preset tuner channels.
e Before using the recorder, be sure to set the clock.

@ Turn on the recorder and television, and set them correctly.

ATTENTION
You can use the Jog/Shuttle controls instead
of the numeric
keys and SET/SELECT
buttons. After pressing the MENU button, all
setting operations can be done with the
Jog/Shuttle controls: JOG dial for setting
data (SET) and SHUTTLE ring for verifying
entry and advancing to the next position
(SELECT).
(When you use the Jog/Shuttle
controls on the remote control unit, press the
CH/SET*SELECT button after pressing the
MENU button.)
