RETAKE FUNCTION
While
in the
Record-Pause
mode,
turning the JOG dial or SHUTTLE ring
initiates search at the corresponding
speed in the corresponding direction. To
re-engage
the Record-Pause
mode,
simply release the dial or ring. If you
have
recorded
unnecessary
material
because of having engaged the Record-
Pause mode too late, use this function
to return to the position where you want
the next recording to start. Then, simply
press the PLAY button when you want to
re-start recording.

REMAINING TAPE TIME
INDICATION
The tape counter can be switched to
display the remaining tape time.
e@ Press the DISPLAY button to obtain
the REMAIN tape time indication in
hours and minutes on the screen and
display panel.
Notes:
e During recording, the remaining
tape length is calculated in refer-
ence to the recording mode
selected by the SP/EP button;
during playback, it is calculated in
reference to the recorded mode of
the tape being played back (SP or
EP).
e@ The indicated remaining time is
approximate.

INDICATION
When you need to know the exact time
of a recording, press the C. RESET
button before starting recording or
playback. The counter will be reset to
"OH 00M 00S" and show the exact
elapsed time as the tape runs. Press ihe
DISPLAY button anytime to check the
current tape time position on the screen.
