TV CODE SETTING
The provided remote control can operate the basic functions (power on/off, volume, channel, and TV/VIDEO switching) of your
television. In addition to JVC televisions, other manufacturers' televisions listed here can also be controlled by setting the remote
control to the corresponding TV code. If your television is a JVC brand, you do not have to set the TV code.
TV operation buttons
The button labelled MONITOR (TV/VIDEO)
functions as a MUTE button when controlling
televisions other than JVC.

Procedure
Press the TV CODE button.
@ The LCD will switch to the TV code setting mode.
@ The TV code is initially set to "1" (JVC).
{2] Check the TV Code Table on the right and enter the TV code
number corresponding to the brand of your television with
the JOG dial.
[3] Press the TV CODE button.
@ The LCD will return to the clock mode.
@ The TV code will return to initial "1" if you press the
RESET button (see page 12), or repiace the batteries.

Notes:
@ The remote control's default TV code is "1", which enables
control of JVC televisions. !f your television is a brand other
than JVC, it will be necessary to set to the appropriate TV
code. In this case, it is necessary to test the response of
your television set to each non-default TV code (2 — 15)
until the appropriate code is reached.
@ lf your television does not respond to any of the available TV
codes (1 — 15), it cannot be controlled by this remote
control unit.
e@ Whenever you replace batteries in the remote control or
press the remote's RESET button, ail set data in the LCD
memory reverts to the initial state and the TV code reverts to
default "1". If your television is not JVC, it will be necessary
to re-set to the appropriate TV code.
IMPORTANT
Although the provided remote control unit is compatible
with many television brands, there is a possibility that it
will not work with your television set.
