The PU modules are manufactured using IGBT technology, with a high switching frequency, to
allow low distortion of the current re-injected into the supply network and high quality and
stability of the output voltage. The components used ensure high reliability, very high efficiency
and ease of maintenance..
3.2
PU MODULE DESCRIPTION
3.2.1 Rectifier
The Rectifier converts the three-phase AC mains voltage into DC voltage. It uses a three-phase
total controlled IGBT bridge with low harmonic absorption. The rectifier in normal operation can
handle both clockwise and anti-clockwise cycling. The control electronics use a 32-bit DSP of
the latest generation, which makes it possible to reduce the distortion of the current absorbed
from the mains (THDi) to a value of less than 3%. This ensures that the rectifier does not distort
the mains voltage and avoids overheating of the cables due to the circulation of harmonic
currents.
The rectifier is sized to supply the inverter at full load and the battery at maximum charging
current.
