GENERAL UPS DESCRIPTION
3.1
TYPOLOGY
The Keor XPE system is made up of several PU (Power Unit) power modules together with the
IOBM module that contains the static emergency Bypass (Bypass) plus the circuit breaker for
managing the equipment, this System will be referred to more generally as UPS later in the
document.
The system thus constituted behaves as a single UPS in an on-line double conversion
configuration, the PU inverters always supply power to the load, both in the presence and
absence of the mains (for the time of battery autonomy).
This configuration provides the user with the best service, as it continuously supplies clean
energy while guaranteeing voltage and frequency stabilisation at nominal values. In addition,
thanks to the double conversion, it makes the load completely immune to micro-interruptions
and excessive variations in the network, which could otherwise damage the users (Computers -
Instruments - Scientific equipment etc.).
Output voltage present
The line connected to the UPS output is energized even during mains failure,
therefore in compliance with the prescriptions of IEC EN62040-1-2, the installer will
have to identify the line or the plugs supplied by the UPS making the User aware of
this fact.
