Potential cause/solution
•
You used either too much fl our or too little liquid. Check
the quantities indicated in the recipe and measure them
precisely.
•
You did not insert the dough hook correctly. Insert the
dough hook before you add ingredients to the baking pan.
•
Was the baking process interrupted (power outage,
inadvertent pressing of the Start/Stop button)? If the
baking process was interrupted, the fi nal result is normally
not satisfactory and cannot be corrected.
•
Did you select the Pasta dough programme? The dough
is only kneaded here. No heat is added for rising.
•
You left the bread in the bread machine for too long after
the baking programme ended. Take the bread out of
the bread machine as soon as possible after the baking
programme is complete.
•
Did you insert the dough hooks correctly? Make sure that
the dough hooks are securely seated in the baking pan.
•
Was there any food in the baking pan, which ended up
on the heating elements? Before inserting the baking pan,
check it for leftover food that could come into contact with
the heating elements.
•
Is the dough fl owing over the baking pan and onto the
heating elements? Interrupt the baking process and
remove all the dough that has overfl owed as soon as the
device has cooled off.
•
Flour or another ingredient has fallen out of the baking pan
onto the heating elements during the kneading process.
Interrupt the baking process and remove all the dough that
has overfl owed as soon as the device has cooled off.
•
The bread is very compact. Let the bread cool off
completely and then remove the dough hook using the
dough hook remover. Tip: Some fl our types absorb more
liquid than others. Next time, use a little more liquid to
loosen up the dough.
•
You left the bread in the bread machine for too long after
the baking process. The steam softened the crust.
•
Use the French bread programme or select Dark for the
crust.
•
The bread is still too warm. Always let the bread cool off
before you slice it.
