Never leave the device unattended when it is switched on or

plugged in to the mains supply. Pull the mains plug in case of
longer breaks.
Do not make any modifi cations to the device. Also do not repla-
■
ce the mains cord yourself. Only have the device, cord and plug
repaired by a qualifi ed workshop. Contact customer service if ne-
cessary. Improper repairs could pose serious risks for the user
Do not place fl ammable materials (e.g. cardboard, plastic, paper
■
or candles) on or in the device.
Do not cover the device during operation to prevent a risk of fi re.

Make sure that you do not overfi ll the baking pan! Overfl owing
■
dough that comes in contact with the heating elements may
catch fi re! The maximum fi lling volume is:
– 500 g of dry ingredients and 300 ml of liquids for light, white
standard bread types
– 660 g of dry ingredients and 440 ml of liquid for heavy bread
types
Never douse a fi re with water! If parts of the device catch fi re,

disconnect the device from the power supply and smother the
fl ames e.g. with a wet cloth or blanket.
Avoiding damage to materials, property and the device
Always place the device on a dry, level, solid and heat-resistant
■
surface with adequate space (at least 30 cm) on all sides and at
least 30 cm of overhead space.
Ensure that the connected mains cord does not pose a tripping
■
hazard. The cable may not hang down from the set up area to
prevent the device from being pulled down. Never pull on the
mains cord in order to move the device.
Lay the cable such that it is not crushed or creased and such
■
that it does not come into contact with hot surfaces.
Maintain adequate distance to other heat sources such as stove-
■
tops or ovens in order to prevent damage to the device.
Never use the device on a stove top or if a gas source is nearby.

Do not move the device when in use.

Never turn the device on without contents in order to prevent the
■
device from overheating.
