engine, idling is much smoother and revs are more straightforward.

The lubrication of each connecting rod bearing is provided by a small copper spoon which collects a little oil in
the bucket.
These spoons are crimped / matted in the connecting rod caps but manage with repeated heat and cooling to
turn or come off... with dramatic consequences for the crankshaft.
If they need to be replaced, the 7mm copper tubing is a hard dimension to find. They must be welded by a
professional TIG welding or by silver brazing (castolin 1802 type stripper). In this case, remove the bearings
and fit and tighten the half shells on the connecting rods; let cool before disassembling.
