14. Binding Function

To enable transmitter and receiver to work together, they must be bound by the same digital code. In the delivery state,
transmitter and receiver are aligned with each other and can be used at once. The binding settings must be renewed
mainly after a replacement of the transmitter or receiver or to remove interferences.
Right after activation, the receiver tries to receive a valid transmitter signal. If the transmitter is switched off
or not bound to the receiver, the LED in the receiver (see figure 22, pos. 2) will go out very quickly. When
the receiver is bound correctly, the LED is lit permanently when a valid transmitter signal is received.
To perform the binding procedure, proceed as follows:
• Transmitter and receiver must be in direct proximity (distance approx. 50 cm).
• Switch off the receiver and transmitter.
• Connect the flight battery to the model so that the receiver is supplied with power after activation.
• Push and hold the binding button when the receiver is
switched off (1).
• Switch on the receiver with the button pushed. The re-
ceiver LED (2) starts to flash slowly.
• Release the binding button at the receiver.
• Then switch off the transmitter again with the on-off
switch. The LED in the receiver goes out for about 2
seconds after a brief time and will remain permanently
lit again after successful binding.
The servos now react to the control commands of the
transmitter.
• Then check the function and range of the remote control
system.
