2 Explanation of Markings
WARNING!
This protective equipment shows performance classification symbols that specify the applicable area
of use. Before use, make sure that the protective equipment you chose has the correct classification
symbol for the specific work conditions. If the symbols S, F, B, or A are not common to both the visor
and the frame then it is the lower level which shall be assigned to the complete eye protector. If protec-
tion from high-speed particles at extreme temperatures is necessary, make sure that your protective
equipment shows the symbol T immediately after the impact symbol (F, B, or A). If the symbol T does
not show after the impact symbol, the protective equipment can only be used to supply protection from
high-speed particles at room temperature. For this protective equipment to comply with the area of use
for molten metal and hot solids, the protective equipment must show symbol 9 and symbol F, B, or A.
Failure to obey these warnings can result in serious injury or death.
