6.3. Initiation mode / First operation
Initiation mode starts when the spa is powered. The main purpose of this mode is to
ensure initiation of the different pumps.
After powering the system, it is very important to understand the sequence of events
following powering to effectively initiate the pumps and become aware of any
malfunctioning caused by lack of water pressure.
Please consult the following procedures before powering the system.
•
Evacuate air from the pumps. To achieve this, unscrew the screw-unions on
•
the pump discharge.
Allow evacuation of air and a small quantity of water from the pumps and
•
related hoses.
Re-tighten the screw-unions once evacuation has finished.
•
Open all the nozzles by turning them in an anti-clockwise direction. The jet
•
clusters, small high pressure massage jets, are the only nozzles that can be
individually adjusted.
Power the system from the general power supply panel.
•
The screen displays the "Pr " icon, indicating that the system is in initiation mode.
During this phase, the heating is deactivated to enable the initiation process to be run
without the heating starting when there is little or no water pressure.
Nothing starts automatically; the pumps must be manually activated by pressing the "Jets
1" and "Jets 2 buttons.
Press the "Jet 1" button twice to activate high speed on pump 1
•
Press the "Jet 2" button to activate pump 2
•
If the pumps do not start after 2 minutes and water does not flow out of the jets of the
spa, do not allow the pumps to continue operating. Cut off the power supply from the
main power supply panel and repeat the process to evacuate air from the pumps.
Then re-power the system. This starts a new pump initiation mode.
If the spa does not start after 5 attempts, cut off the power and contact your spa
supplier.
