The brake engages automatically in case of a strong kickback produced by
brake lever inertia .
Chain brake
Your chain saw is fitted with a safety chain brake to lock the chain in position
(in the event of a kickback) in a fraction of a second.
-
The brake is automatically operated in the event of a kickback by the
inertia of the brake lever .
Always hold the chain saw with both hands (wherever possible).
Always remember that the chain brake does not represent a total
protection.
It is therefore crucial to avoid all the hazard situations explained in the
previous "KICKBACK SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR CHAIN SAW
USERS" CHAPTER .
-
The chain brake can also be manually activated by pushing the front
hand guard forward.
-
To release the brake, pull the front hand guard towards the handles
(fig.26).
