12) Fully tighten the nuts with the sparkplug wrench provided (fig.12) and the
screw(fig.14) .Check that the chain slides freely in the guide bar.
Fig.14
NOTE! The tension of a new chain must be checked and adjusted (with
engine off and brake applied) after a few minutes of chain saw operation.
Always check the saw chain tension before use, after the first cuts and
regularly during use.
Warning!
The cutting edges of the saw chain are sharp! Always wear protective gloves
when handling chain!
Always maintain proper chain tension! A loose chain increases the risk of
kickback! A loose chain may jump out of the guide bar groove! This may
injure the operator and damage the chain! A loose chain will cause rapid
wear to the chain, guide bar and sprocket!
Tensioning the chain too tightly will overload the motor and cause damage,
and insufficient tension can cause chain derailing, whereas a correctly
tightened chain provides the best cutting characteristics and prolonged
working life! The chain life mainly depends upon sufficient lubrication and
correct tensioning!
PREPARATION
Fuel
WARNING! The chain saw is fitted equipped with a 2-stroke engine.
The chain saw is not supplied with fuel-oil mixture in the engine! Before
operating the chain saw, it is essential to fill it with fuel-oil mixture! Observe
the technical specification for suitable fuel and engine oil.
