5.4.7.2 EX6 and EX8 Motors Printed circuit
To carry out the connection the cover must be removed before hand by undoing the 8 HM6 nuts.
Insert the cable into the tapered threaded hubs
Connect wires S1, S2, S3, S4, R1, and R2 to the terminals provided for this purpose. Tighten the
screw located on the top of the terminal block to 0.6 N.m. torque.
Connect U, V, W, ground, thermic protector and accessories (tighteen to 0.6 N.m torque).
Carry out any possible shielding continuity using the screw M4 (tighten to 2.5 N.m. torque ).
EX6 Motor
Before closing the cover back up , taking care not to damage the o-ring seal Tighten the connection
module. Tighten the 8 x M6 screws on the cover to 8.5 N.m for the EX8 motor and 4 screws M5 on the
cover for the EX6 motor
Finally Reconnect the external ground connection using the M6 screw located on the rear flange
(serrage 8.5 N.m)
Servomotor rotation direction : provided the recommended cabling has been followed, a positive
speed instruction for the servoamplifier will result in clockwise rotation when viewed from the drive
shaft side
