6.13.4
Executing recovery when the engine and the
A/C system are not OK

After executing step 19 of chapter 6.13.1, the recov-
ery phase is initiated. After the oil drain is complet-
ed, the following screen is displayed.

The recovery phase continues till the absolute pressure
is 600 mbar. When the recovery is completed, other
phases are executed automatically.
After the filling phase is completed, the "Hose
Drain" screen is displayed.

If any error occurs during recovery, vacuuming or
Oil/UV dye recharge phases, the automatic mode
will not proceed to the filling phase and the "Hose
Drain" screen will not be displayed.
Caution - Risk of frostbite!
If refrigerant escapes, there is a risk of
frostbite to the hands and body.

Carefully disconnect filling hoses as all
hoses can contain pressurized refrigerant.

See chapter 6.5.1 and execute steps 21 to 25 to
complete the service.

Recovering the refrigerant in the manual
mode

Before starting the service, check if the engine and
the A/C system are OK.
1. In the main menu, select "Vehicle A/C Service" and
press E.
2. Select the operator name and press E.
3. Select "Manual Mode" and press E.
4. Select "OE Specific Service" and press E.
5. Select "Renault A/C Service" and press E.
The phases that can be executed in the manual
mode are displayed.
Press to select "Recovery" and press E.

The "Vehicle Details" screen is displayed.
7. Check the type of service couplings on the vehicle
A/C system and connect the appropriate couplings.

Do not use any tools to tighten the couplings!
8. Press u to navigate to the "Vehicle ID (Plate Num-
ber)" field. Enter the plate number of the vehicle
being serviced.
9. Press u to navigate to the "VIN Number" field. Enter
the VIN number of the vehicle being serviced.
