Hose drain
Every time a vehicle A/C service is performed, it is nec-
essary to drain the refrigerant from the hoses.
1. In the main menu, select "Vehicle A/C Service" and
press E.
2. Select the operator name and press E.
3. Select "Additional Services" → "Hose Drain". Press E.
The Hose Drain screen is displayed.
Warning - Risk of frostbite!
If refrigerant escapes, there is a risk of frost-
bite to the hands and body.

Carefully disconnect filling hoses as all
hoses can contain pressurized refrigerant.
4. Turn the quick couplers in the counterclockwise
direction and detach the HP/LP couplers from the
service connections on the vehicle.
5. Press to select "Start hose drain". To abort the
hose drain, press c.

A/C performance test
The A/C performance test can be conducted to check
for effective cooling of the vehicle A/C system. The
diagnosis can be done before or after vehicle A/C ser-
vice. However, there could be a risk of change in the
of R134a quantity in the vehicle A/C system by a small
amount.
1. In the main menu, select "Vehicle A/C Service" and
press E.
2. Select the operator name and press E.
3. Select "Additional Services" → "A/C Performance
Test".
4. Press E.
The following screen is displayed.
5. Wait till the clearing is complete. Then, connect the
HP and LP service hoses to the service connections
on the vehicle A/C system. Press .
6. Start the engine with the vehicle gear lever turned to
Neutral.
7. Switch on the vehicle A/C to Maximum (cooling to
maximum). Press .
8. Perform the A/C system test based on either of the
following as per the A/C or vehicle manufacturer's
recommendation:

Grill temperature
$
HP and LP pressure gauge readings
9. After the A/C system test is complete, turn off the
engine and the vehicle A/C system. Press .
10. Wait for two minutes.
The Hose Drain screen is displayed.
